A Silent Soul.....

India as WOMENICIDE....

I don't want to say anything about the Rape case that was being held two day earlier on 16th December, 2012. I don't want to sat anything about the present generation of our India, and i also don't want to say anything about the administration which was running the whole corrupt society in a best corrupt manner.
I simply want to ask one thing that Does anyone has a respect for the mother nation or not?? Does anyone has a respect for the females who taught the highest truths and received the same veneration as men, in Vedas and Upanishads.
India ranks 115 in the Human Development Index of 2001 (UNDP, 2001).The country has made considerable progress since independence; economic reform and liberalization measures over the 1990s have led to strong economic growth, increased exports and reduced inflation. Overall life expectancy is 62.9 years, and projections for 2000-2005 suggest that life expectancy of males and females will be 63.6 years and 64.9 years respectively (United Nations Population Division, 2000). According to the 2001 Census, overall literacy has increased to 65.38
percent (Census of India, 2001).
But what this mean to the society of women in India ?
This is a big question on the growth of a country who has expected the second super power around 2030. A report commissioned by the United Nations Resident Co-ordinator in India (Menon-Sen and Shivakumar, 2001) titled ‘Women in India: How Free? How Equal?’ raises several disturbing issues concerning the current status of women in India. It Includes :

  • Although the absolute number of females has grown 21.79 percent in the last decade, the malefemale ratio is still lower than it was 100 years ago. In societies where men and women are treated equally, women tend to outlive and outnumber men. Typically, one would expect to find 103-105 women for every 100 men. The 2001 Census reveals an adverse ratio of 93 women for every 100 men. With the exception of Kerala, every state has fewer women than men. India, in the words of Amartya Sen, has to account for some 25 million ‘missing women’.
  • The Indian girl child is disadvantaged right from birth. The sex ratio for girl children between the age of 0 and 6 years is 927, strengthening the fear that some girl children are never born or have no opportunity to survive.
  • Only 54 percent of women are literate as compared to 76 percent of men.
  • More than 36 percent of the population lives below the poverty line. Many of them are women.
  • There are far fewer women in the paid workforce than there are men.
  • In some states such as West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, between 63 and 85 percent of married women suffer from anaemia (IIPS, 2000 and ORC Macro 2000).
  • The average Indian woman bears her first child before she is 22 years and has little control over her own fertility and reproductive health.
  • In 1998 – 1999, only 48 percent of married women in the reproductive age group use contraception (World P o p u l a t i o n Monitoring, 2000). This figure is much lower (30%) in poorer states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
  • For many women, abortion is the only method of contraception available.
  • More than 570 women die per 100,000 births (World Population Monitoring, 2000), 70 percent due to totally avoidable reasons.
  • Women are under-represented in governance and decision-making positions.
  • Most women do not have any autonomy in decision making in their personal lives.
  • In Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, less than 50 percent of women have access to
  • money in the household (IIPS and ORC Macro, 2000).
  • Women face violence inside and outside their family, as well as at the workplace.
This is the condition of our India, a becoming Super Power of the World where the famoue tag line is famous all over the World that " Ahimsa Parmo Dharma ", But does this Ahmisa ( Non-Violence) is only for Men and or for other countries regarding peace or something else, does it not for the own women who are living in our homes and give us a full dedicated sacrifice without asking any thing with respect to their sacrifice.
There are many examples to prove that there is also a respect about the India women starting from the Savitrabai Phule to the Pratibha Patil and many more, but by counting some names, does we show the true respect for the Women?
The answer is simply NO as Police records for the country as a whole show that a woman is molested every 26 minutes. A rape occurs every 34 minutes. Every 42 minutes, an incident of sexual harassment takes place. A woman is kidnapped every 43 minutes. And every 93 minutes, a woman is killed.
What does it show????
By writing this i remembered the one line of Mr. Rabindra Nath Tagore  as :
" O Lord Why have you not given women the right to conquer her destiny ?
Why does she have to wait head bowed,
By the roadside, Waiting with tired patience,
Hoping for a miracle in the morrow ?"

I want to say simply at last that If this women never enters into our life then our life has no value because we start our life source as our mother and end up our life being dwelled in the earth as mothernation.
At last I also want to share the desire of a Indian women which can be best summed up in the following lines of " Song of an African Women " :

I have only one request.
I do not ask for money
Although I have need of it,
I do not ask for meat....
I have only one request,

And all I ask is
That you remove
The road block
From my path.

India as a Shining Economy..

A one country got independence on 4th July, 1776. and nobody can predicted that this country will one day influences the every country of this world. And if this country collapses with any misery then it will influences the great economies of this world wither they are developed countries, or developing countries,,or under-developed countries. This is the country named presently as United States of America.
But as we are on the year 2012, and can every one predicted that how many years does it took be the most powerful country of this world, no one?
but if i simple calculated the year then i find that it took the simple 236 years, and by hearing this everyone shocked, that it is independent from the last 236 years. ans i just want to calculate the independent years of India, then i will find that we are independent from last 65 years. If i ask one question to some citizens of the country ans specially to the youngsters, then i got some replies that they are :
1- Umemployment,
2- Population,
3- Corruption,
4- Malnourishment, and many more....
But can we know something above it, as :

1- In the next three years, up to the 25% of the world's new workers will be Indian. ( Source : Indian Labour report vis The Hindu ).
2- India's GDP per capita will quadruple from 2007 to 2020, according to Goldman Sachs
3- Property prices in Mumbai and Delhi have more than doubled in the past 18 months. ( Reuters)
4-India's tech capital, Bangalore, has increased its office supply by six times since 2006, and now has more Grade-A offices than Singapore. ( C B Richard Ellis via a Business Standard)
5- Half the world’s outsourced IT services come from India, amounting to a $47 billion dollar industry (Sourcing Line)
6- Walmart alone outsources $1 billion in IT contracts to India. (SupplyChain.cn)
7- India is the world's second largest importer of arms and has spent $50 billion on defense purchases in the last decade.( Stockholm International Peace Institute via India Defence Online)
8-A bigger movie market than America and Canada combined, India sold 3.2 billion tickets last year.( Bloomberg Business week)
9- India has 568 million more registered voters than the US -- and a better turnout rate too.(The International).
10- The biggest and the largest employer in the world is Indian Railways employing over a million people.
11- India was one of the richest countries till the time of British rule in the early 17th Century. Christopher Columbus, attracted by India's wealth, had come looking for a sea route to India when he discovered America by mistake.
12-India is one of the largest exporter of computer software products.

and there are many things about the India, but nobody knows it, and due to this we always commented about the System, bit it is always necessary to know that by sitting outside the system , it is very east to comment on anything, but when you are inside the system , then you have the right to say anything about the system.
Change the system , is necessary but we have also to participate in this changing procedures.
One country got the position of the top most country, and the most powerful country of this world, by invading other countries, in 236 years, and India never invaded any country in her last 100000 years and we will get the heights in just 65 years only, so wait for the next following years, we will be the most developed country and most powerful country in this world.
I remember the speech of Mr. Barack Obama, as " Americans, go for the study and the research field, otherwise these Indians get every positions of yours."
We are on the journey of development and this development depended on us only, Youngsters are the first stone of this great developed India. One day our Indian Rupee is the international currency as every Country want to acquire as Dollars in present.....
